Praise for Rick

Sierra remodeling is Rick Buck who generally works alone. Rick remodeled our bathroom, and pantry closet. The bathroom required a lot of work as it had not been touched in over twenty years. A lot of the flooring had to be ripped up and replaced from a leak in the bottom of the toilet. The tub walls and floor were stripped and then covered with a moisture barrier and cement board. The tub walls and floor were the tiled with ceramic tile that we had chosen. Everything in the bathroom was re-plumbed, tub shower, toilet, new vanity, a cabinet over the toilet, and doors installed to cover shelves I had installed when the home was first purchased. New outlets, and lighting were also installed and a new entrance door to the room. Rick did everything in this room including the painting. His work is impeccable. In the closet pantry Rick gutted the old closet re-sheet rocked and finished the walls in prep for painting. He then built shelves for our canned goods and other items, and built an added closet where we hang clothing. Rick also installed framework, and two doors for access to our attic, plus ordered and replaced two casement windows that had gone bad over the years. Again let me add that Rick did the whole job from start to finish, the wiring, the plumbing, the carpentry, the tiling and anything else that was required. His work is very professional, as is his approach to the job he is doing for you.
While the job took longer than expected we felt it was worth the extra time. The work that Rick did for us did not disappoint. Rick was very thorough in explaining why and what he was doing, and did not hesitate to do the other tasks that we added to the original work scope. This was the first time that we had hired a contractor to do work in our home as I had usually done the work myself but because of injuries there are now things that we have to farm out. Rick provided quality work and professionalism, and we are very happy with the outcome.

Removed base kitchen cabinets, counter top, appliances. Removed old and installed new ceramic tile floor.
Everything went very well. Rick took his time and paid close attention to detail. He also took the time to update us on the progress everyday. Rick was very neat. He cleaned up everyday. Overall the experience was great. I would definitely use Sierra Remodeling again. Thanks Rick.

Very well. The shower and floor look terrific. We are very pleased with how the shower border, niches and bench turned out. He worked with us to utilize the same 12x12 tiles in the border and shower curb as on the floor, which required additional cutting and polishing on his part. He also had to cut apart the mosaic sheets for the border, and did a great job varying the pieces to get the desired effect. Due to the marble pattern, we were very specific in marble tiles placement. Rick worked with us to insure that we got what we wanted, and was patient as we did some fine tuning during the installation - literally while he was laying the mud and tile down. We decided mid stream to do the vent fan with light, heater, and move the lights, which he was willing to accommodate. He also ended up with more drywall work than originally anticipated due to problems we ran into when we removed the old tiles. The bathroom tile floor level matches up perfectly with the bedroom hardwood floors. The tiles for the baseboard and vanity back splash were cut so they can be polished by the marble company. They will be installed after the vanity and vanity marble top are installed.
